Hi, I’m Gail, founder of Halo Virtual Solutions.
I was born and raised in the southern U.S., where I still live today with my daughter, Jada. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Business and spent three years in graduate study focusing on International Studies, with a specialization in Spanish language and Latin American history and culture.
My professional background includes several years in local call centers before transitioning later into remote contact center work in 2017. That move opened the door to a more flexible lifestyle and introduced me to a variety of roles in the customer support world. Since then, I’ve worked with four remote-first companies, supporting diverse brands across multiple channels.
Eventually, I realized I wanted more autonomy and a deeper connection to the work I was doing. That’s when I launched my virtual assistant business. With a natural knack for administrative tasks and a genuine desire to support others, I began offering services to small and online business owners, many of whom were friends and family, trying to balance it all on their own.
My mission is to help business owners reclaim their time and mental space by taking ownership of their inboxes and customer support channels. I offer what I call "dedicated customer support" —because I’m not just filling a gap. I’m showing up as a reliable, proactive partner who cares about your customers as much as you do.
I consider myself tech-adjacent: not a coder or hacker, but someone who thrives in modern, digital spaces. I enjoy staying current with technology and love supporting users behind the scenes. It’s deeply satisfying to create smooth experiences for customers, troubleshoot small issues before they become big ones, and keep everything running quietly in the background.
For the past few years, I've been working with a software developer who created three cloud-based accounting platforms for three niche industries. I manage customer support for him Monday through Friday across all three brands, responding to tickets, processing cancellations and refunds, flagging bugs, and making sure users feel heard and taken care of. I’ve also taken on digital marketing projects for two of those platforms, including social media management, video tutorials, and content creation for the company blog.
I run Halo Virtual Solutions from my fully equipped home office, with a professional dual-laptop setup, backup power, fast internet, and all the tools needed to stay connected and productive.
During my downtime, I am a telefile (the less-respected cousin of the cinefile) and fangirl who enjoys indulging in high-quality cult TV series, especially if their British (Downton Abbey and Outlander are personal favorites). I’m a proud fan of Star Trek, Marvel, Transformers, and just about anything Disney/Pixar.
I also enjoy going on animal encounters, doing DIY projects, learning new skills, and pursuing long-term goals like financial independence.
Thanks for getting to know a little about me. If you're looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and fully committed to supporting your business behind the scenes, I’d love to connect.
